Literate is a book tracking app with minimal social features. It helps friends find good books through each other, and it encourages real-world connection over books.
In the order they shared it
You see what people choose to share, in the order they shared it.
From people you know
Recommendations come from people you know.
Opened, used, put down
It’s built to be opened, used, and put down.
What we don’t build
We care as much about the features we leave out as the ones we put in.
- I.An algorithm deciding what you see
- II.Rankings or recommendations in the Ledger
- III.Attention-gaming funny business
- IV.Likes, streaks, or public counts
- V.Discovery beyond the people you choose
Your reading comes first. The app opens to your list, not to a feed.
